Hi Guys
Out of desperation Im thinking of getting Mtnl but what I wanted to know was what exactly do they mean by the download limit.
Does it apply to only data one downloads like music, movies etc or it also means data while surfing the net like temp files, cookies etc etc?

Sorry if this has been asked before or sounds stupid Smile

duuhh...if you think your post is sounding "stupid" there would be no forums here at all!
MTNL or for that matter BSNL hasnt really specified in what way they are going to measure the download limits. This is one major problem and noone in the official capacity is willing to confirm.I believe that the prices are subject to revision. In that case hopefully by March,TRAI should revise the bandwidth prices.Therein we could have an idea about the final prices. I advice you not to go in for that.
Assuming you are in New Delhi, you could opt for Airtel broadband, if it is there in your area.MTNL is way too expensive and it doesnt give returns on investment.
If you are residing in Mumbai, I suggest you look at Powersurfer, under Reliance.Last heard it was reasonably good enough.Of course subject to your area under service.Still, if you want maximum value for your investment, ideally wait for 6 months.By that time the picture would be clear.Of course, keep coming to these forums for regular updates!!I d suggest that you sign up for these forums.
