Is anyone from bangalore finding a deterioration in the internet speeds? I am on home 750 and my net has been terribly slow
As usual, the customer service reps give me the same reason that they always do-"There is some problem all over the place". This, they have been telling ever since the service was first rolled out
Anyways i checked my modem status and this is what it shows
Upstream speed: 512 kbps
Downstream speed : 1536
Snr upstream:19.0
Snr downstream:22.5
Are these values normal?

yes it's showing lower than it should be, probably due to something at server side.
moreover, what is the attenuation?

BSNL broadband service at Koramangala,Bangalore seems to be facing trouble. The complaints do not get positive response, nor rectified. The call centres who handle BSNL Broadband Complaints give the Exchange operator's number to handle the complaints directly. Their Telephone lines are always busy, testing the customers patience. Could some one from BSNL listen to the public outcry and do some thing to rectify the defects? There is no use of spending crores of Rupees on promotional Advertisements unless they have the facilities to give good service.

slow download speed using torrents could be due to many reasons, one of them being bad upload speed

Hi All,
Currently, I am on Home 500C+ plan with 2.5 GB limit and night unlimited between 2:00 am to 8:00 am. Speed is decent. Refer to my speed test data:
But I am a heavy user. I dont want to change over to the unlimited plan as I have heard the speeds go down drastically. So thinking of switching to some other ISP. but I am undecided as my experience with Reliance Net Connect was pathetic.
Any suggestions?
