we needed a single thread for all our campaigns against BSNL's arbitrary plan changes......now only if the mods make it a sticky thread.
everyone who has any important email IDs of media organisations or higher-up authorities in BSNL post here........

1. BSNL hasnt insulted anyone. If you get insulted cause they havent given you 2 Mbps, then you need to get a life
2. Things are too early to say anything, its not been even few months, and ppl have already started jumping up and down and whining
3. BSNL cant give 2 Mbps to 900 UL for simple reason that their infra cant take so much load now, neither they have the required bandwidth. Both will be upgraded in time, They already have applied for addl bandwidth.
4. One big mistake that maran did was talk too much. He should have just kept quiet . Dunno why commit to things you cant provide.
5. I wont change to Home 500 plan until the happy hours get changed.

It is not an insult. It is a business decision by BSNL and it is up to us whether we should continue with the unlimited schemes or not. I too am an UL user and am waiting to see if UL schemes too get an upgrade.
When Maran announced the One-India scheme (One rupee STD rate phone calls) about a year back and forced BSNL to come out with such a scheme, they followed very reluctantly, charging a high amount as rental (Rs 250 rental?) & with no free calls, which almost nobody took. 10 months later, One India scheme has been given to almost everyone (i.e, those with Rs 180 monthly rental) at no extra cost. Similar thing can happen in Broadband.
Also, soon BSNL is going to see competition coming from WiMax. That will result in still better schemes for everybody.
We just need to be patient and wait for few more months.

im angry cos this speed increase in other plans have pushed my UL 256 Kbps to UL 36 kbps :O .So if they increase UL speed to some extent ill get a steady 256Kbps .Im not selfish neither too ambitious. All i want is my plain old 256Kbps .ive been patient for 3 good days and still my speeds are below 36Kbps while upload speed remains at 60-70Kbps.btw i live in chennai.

Im in agreement with phoenix let's get 256 Kbps consistent with minimum contention ration something like 1:4 or better yet 1:2 otherwise 2 Mbps in reality will be 256 Kbps. If I'm not wrong the ratio as of today is 1:40 or something like tht
