Dataone is finally here since this month, being a monoploy, they make you wait and if in hurry, they make you pay the bribe for procuring it. Even when one does so and gets the gleaming new Huawei MT882, the problems just starts, frequent disconnections are the norm, best part is, night surfing is shut off at the convenience of BSNL Solan. Its surreptitiously turned on at around 8:30 AM, this is a daily occurance. You have nowhere to complain but to the 1600-424-1600 call center where you get a typical call center reply of we will forward your call.

If anyone has any suggestion of preventing or at least reporting this sort of highway robbery to proper authorities, please tell me so, would truly appreciate it, at least the satisfaction of getting the word through would be good enough for me.

It's no problem at all... Infact that's pretty much what we all do around here. There are only so many hardware related problems that one person can have... so everything beyond that is venting it out at VT.com.

I don't think there is any authority to whom you can report these problems to within BSNL and get a speedy response. I suggest you talk to somebody in the Media or goto the Consumers Forum and take it up with them. That way you'll be spreading general awareness ad more people might want to help you out.

Well at least you guys have a choice of other IPSs in major cities, here in Himachal, we have none. Really sad, actually should have expected it, makes me wish like going back to my slow yet reliable Air Tel GPRS, 4.5kbps always on, never any download limits as long as your patience would hold, very rarely would break down, and if that happened, some accountability was shown, all for Rs. 450 I got tempted by the speed of so called BSNL broadband and now am dearly paying for it.
