Saw a billboard in bangalore showing the 5230 and written beside "New Nokia 5230 & 5233"

Anybody knows anything about Nokia 5233, could not find specs in nokia.co.in Sad

. Wondering whats the difference between 5230 & 5233.

The 5233 is same as the 5230 except that there is no 3G . 5233 costs around Rs.7.5K

^^^ There is no GPS also. The spec is finally out on Nokia india site. Now with Ovi maps navigation free, its good to have GPS on mobile

In my opinion do not buy 5233, go for 5230 which is VFM. 5230 costs 8200 only in Bangalore. 5233 is Rs 7500. for Rs700 extra you get 3G and GPS, a good deal I feel.

anyone has any idea of the latest prices of 5800 and n79 , after the introduction of 5230.. thinking of getting 5230,i really really do miss the wifi but extra 5K is tooo much. any idea if nokia will reduce the prices anytime soon?

5800 has a 3.2 meg auto focus camera as well as 3G which makes it a bit more expensive than 5230 which has 2.0 meg fixed focus camera and no 3G but the difference should be not more than 3K in my opinion.

Nokia 5230 has 3G (5233 doesnt have 3g and GPS) check here
So its just Wifi and an extra 1.2MP cam you get for the extra you pay. Nowadays all operators provide GPRS more or less unlimited for 100Rs or less. Just take that and forget about wifi. You can access anywhere and you are not paying upfront for a rarely used feature (thats my take...)

it seems 5230 is no longer available and that Nokia is pushing 5233 do no know why
